Stanley Graczyk

Stanley Graczyk, 69, died Friday, February 19, 2016 following an extended illness. He was the beloved husband of Theresa F. (Prokop) Graczyk, with whom he shared 35 years of marriage.
Born in Chelsea on May 26, 1946, he was the son of the late Henry and Genevieve (Mydlarz) Graczyk. He was raised and educated in Chelsea and was a graduate of Chelsea High School. He went on to serve honorably in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Stan was employed at Merrill-Lynch for thirty years, retiring as a vice president. After leaving Merrill-Lynch, he worked at BRC Dain Rauscher for seven years until finally settling into retirement.
Making his home in Peabody in recent years, Stan was a Danvers resident for twenty-two years. He loved skiing and staying connected to family roots in Chelsea. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed working in the community gardens at Endicott Park. Stan enjoyed travel, especially visiting Newport, RI, Portland, ME, and Truro. Most especially, he was devoted to his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he leaves two sons, Michael Webb of Beverly and his companion Christine Micciche McClearn and Robert and Tracey (Silva) Webb of Wenham, his grandchildren, Abigail, Bella, Natalia, Jake, and Dylan, his siblings, Barbara Meza and Henry, Frank, and Patrick Graczyk, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Kenneth Graczyk.
Funeral services were held privately last week. In lieu of flowers, donations in Stan’s name may be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 450 Brookline Avenue, Boston, MA 02215.
