Thomas E. Ciarlone, 80, passed away on January 4, 2025. He was the loving husband of Ann (Donovan) Ciarlone with whom he shared 52 years of marriage.

Born in Boston on September 10, 1944, he was the son of the late William and Anna (Anzalone) Ciarlone. Thomas was raised and educated in West Newton and graduated from Newton North High School in 1962. He received his bachelor’s degree from Bridgwater State Collage and a master’s degree from Cambridge College. Thomas had been an elementary school teacher at Fox Hill School in Burlington for over twenty years. He also taught at the Francis Wyman Middle School for several years prior to that.

Nothing was more important to Thomas than his family. His acts of kindness truly were boundless always putting the needs of others before his own and never looking for anything in return.

In addition to his wife Ann, he is survived by their three children, spouses and grandchildren; Keith and Kristen Ciarlone of Danvers and “grand pup LuLu”, Andrew and Sandra Ciarlone and their son Caleb of South Boston and Kimberly and Daniel Pinto of Danvers and their four sons; Nathan, Christopher, Joseph and Michael. Thomas had two siblings, William Ciarlone of Peabody and Linda Leone of Newton along with several nieces and nephews.

  3. January, 2025
    To all the Ciarlones,

My deepest condolences to all of you, who loved and were beloved by Tommy. He was a man who brought to our world and memories: warmth and compassion, gusto and laughter, joy and occasional mischief; all love and life and enduring friendship. His was such a full life, lost to us too soon. I hope you will all find comfort in remembering the smiles you shared with him and the happy times all of you brought into each others lives.

    With much concern and sympathy,
    Sharon Clark
