Victor E. Valcour
October 13, 1926 ~ February 20, 2014
Victor E. Valcour, 87, peacefully passed away on February 20, 2014 in Essex Park Nursing Center. He was the loving husband of Marilyn (Grover) Valcour with whom he shared 58 years of marriage.
Born in Danvers on October 13, 1926, he was the son of the late Harmel and Laura (Fournier) Valcour. Victor was a lifelong resident of Danvers. He graduated from Holten High School. He served our country with the United States Army during WWII and the Korean War and was honorably discharged. Victor was employed as a supervisor with Western Electric for many years. He also worked part-time for the Town of Danvers with the Electric Department. Victor enjoyed summers at Pleasant Lake in New Hampshire and cheering for the Red Sox and Patriots.
Besides his wife Marilyn, he is survived by five children, Cheryl Valcour of Danvers, Christine Valcour of Danvers, Vicki Romero and her husband Michael of CO, Susan O’hala and her husband Matthew of Amesbury and Timothy Valcour and his wife Dvina of NH, his sister, Theresa Barnett of Danvers, his brother, Donald Valcour and his wife Joyce of Danvers, his sister-in-law, Donna Grover of Danvers, six grandchildren, Kayla, Patrick, Jillian, Tyler, Emily and Jackson, two great grandchildren, Mason and Jacob and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, Jeanette Mayer, Roger Valcour and Albert Valcour.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2014 from 4-7PM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. All other funeral services are private.
