Vincenza T. “Jennie” Bohanon, 97, of Danvers, passed away surrounded by her loving family on December 13, 2024. She was the beloved and devoted wife of the late George R. Bohanon.

Born in Lawrence, July 20, 1927, Jennie was the daughter of Italian immigrants, Stefano and Rose (Zanni) Buco. She was a graduate of Lawrence High School and MacIntosh Business School. She had a long career as a secretary at Salem Hospital and retired after nearly forty years.
As a Danvers resident, Jennie had been a parishioner of Saint Richard Church for many years.

She enjoyed bowling, playing bingo, knitting and trips to Foxwoods. Her family was most important to her and she loved celebrating and spending time with them.

Jennie is survived by several nieces and nephews as well as her dearest friend, Cammie Pierro. Cammie and Jennie’s friendship spanned over 90 years.
In addition to her parents and husband, Jennie was predeceased by her brothers, Andrew, Anthony and Frank Buco and her sisters, Christina Faro and Rita Godbout.

Jennie’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the compassionate staff at Charter House, Danvers as well as Masconomet Healthcare Center in Topsfield for their exceptional care and support.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11am in Saint Richard Church, 90 Forest St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday from 9-10:30 AM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers.
