Virginia M. Foster

Virginia Marie (Myrer) Foster, 93, died December 27, 2013 in the Hunt Nursing & Rehab. Center. Born in Brockton on December 13, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Marie (Frenning) Myrer. She was a graduate of North Kingstown High School in Wickford, RI, Class of 1939 and the Roger Williams Hospital School of Nursing. She served as a nurse in the U.S. Navy during WWII. A longtime Danvers resident, she was a nursing supervisor in the medical building at the former Danvers State Hospital for more than thirty years. She is survived by a daughter, Mary Louise Myrer of Boston. She was predeceased by a brother, Harlow N. Myrer. Her Funeral Service that were planned for Thursday, January 2, 2014 HAVE BEEN POSTPONED until spring. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Strays In Need, P.O. Box 223, Danvers, MA 01923.
I pray for friends to comfort you, faith to uphold yo, and loving memories to help you through these trying times. With these we find a way to cope. You certainly gave your mother many wonderful memories over these past few years (lobster rolls, clams, ice cream,as well as the jaunts around the grounds!). Mary Louise, you were a good daughter to your Mother. Always faithfully visiting her and handling her various needs. I wish you peace.
