Warner E. Desmarais, 84, died November 14, 2015 at the New Hampshire Home for Veterans in Tilton, NH. He was the loving husband of Ruth (Butt) Desmarais, with whom he shared 61 years of marriage. Born in Danvers on Oct. 20, 1931, he was the son of the late Louis and Bertha Desmarais. He was raised and educated in Danvers and was a 1949 graduate of Holten High School. A U.S. Army veteran, he served honorably in the Korean War, stationed in Korea for two years during combat. Until the time of his retirement, he had been employed at Beverly Pattern for many years. He had previously been employed vas a milkman with Whiting’s Dairy for over twenty years. A longtime Danvers resident, Mr. Desmarais was the longtime equipment manager of the Blue Angels Drum & Bugle Corps. In addition to his wife, he leaves a daughter, Lynne LeBlanc, and four grandchildren. He was predeceased by two children, John Desmarais and Polly Immonen, and two siblings, Wilfred Desmarais and Janice Cisler. Funeral services were held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mr. Desmarais may be made to the New Hampshire Home for Veterans Benefit Fund, 139 Winter St., Tilton, NH, 03276.
