William J. O’Keefe, 57, died Monday, July 12, 2010 in Massachusetts General Hospital following a brief illness. He was the loving husband of Joanne M. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by two daughters, Maura O’Keefe of Roanoke Rapids, NC and Megan O’Keefe of Danvers, a brother, Daniel O’Keefe and his wife Ann of Michigan, his father-in-law, William Sheehan Jr. of Chatham, his sister-in-law, Laurie Lundergan, his brothers-in-law, Jack and Bill Sheehan, and several nieces and nephews. We are so very sorry that this happened to Bill and to all of you. Our hearts are with you. We wish we could have helped.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Joanne, Maura and Megan. Bill had the best sense of humor and extreme patience. Some of our fondest memories of our lives in Massachusetts are spending time with you. You were our first friends when we moved to Danvers. I will never forget how excited he was for the first day of school and he made the girls and my kids stand still at the bus stop (your driveway) so no one would get hurt and have to take them to the hospital…that mess up his sleep. The memories will help you through..hold them close to your heart. He will always be with you and guide you in his subtle way.
Joanne & family, I’m so sorry for your loss. You’re in my thoughts & prayers. Please take care.
Joanne, Dan, and family, So sorry to read about Bill. My thoughts and prayers are with your entire family. Sincerely Ann McCarthy formerly Peabody
