William M. "Bill" St. Pierre

William M. ‘Bill’ St. Pierre, 52, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Nov. 3, 2011 in Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. Born in Salem on Sept. 9, 1959, he was the son of Margery J. (Duffy) St. Pierre and the late Lawrence F. St. Pierre, both of Salem. He was raised and educated in Peabody and graduated from Peabody High School in 1977. Besides his mother he is survived by a daughter, Erin St. Pierre of Iowa, siblings Susan St. Pierre and her partner Richard Thibodeau of Salem, Linda St. Pierre of Salem, Lawrence St. Pierre and his wife Dawn of Peabody, Janice McCarthy and her husband Brian of Peabody, David St. Pierre and his wife Christa of Washington, brother-in-law Richard Lindgren of Peabody, and many loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Sharon St. Pierre. A carpenter and contractor by trade, Bill took great pride and skill in historic building preservation projects. His notable restorations included the Saugus Town Hall, the Juneau Alaska Senate Building, as well as several Dutch Colonial projects in Old Town Charlotte Amalie, U.S. Virgin Islands. A skilled craftsman, Bill also enjoyed collecting and restoring antiques. Bill was also an avid music lover and practitioner; a multi-instrumentalist who loved to share, perform, and play music with his family and friends. Bill’s family will receive friends and relatives on Monday, November 7, 2011 from 4-8 PM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. A celebration of Bill’s life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations may be made in Bill’s name to Hospice of the North Shore and Greater Boston, 75 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA 01923.
