Elaine Claudia (Coffin) Blute, 74, died peacefully in her Danvers home on Saturday, October 14, 2023.
Born in Salem on Oct. 27, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Robert A. Coffin and the late Theresa (St. Arnault) Coffin. She was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of Salem High School and obtained an associate degree from Salem State College.
Elaine was employed as a secretary at Danvers Ford for many years.
She was the devoted mother of Charles A. Blute, III, loving grandmother of Tiffany Vera Blute, and adoring great-grandmother of Max Blute. She also leaves her brother William Coffin and her sister Susan Sodano, as well as several nieces, nephews, and dear friends. She was predeceased by her brother Paul Coffin and her former husband Charles A. Blute, II.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate and honor Elaine’s memory at visiting hours on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 from 5-7PM in C.R. Lyons & Sons Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. To Elaine’s family , please except my deepest condolences of Elaine’s passing. I had the pleasure of doing Elaine’s hair for many years. We enjoyed many good conversations over the years. She always talked about how proud she was of her son and family. I will miss her . She was a wonderful lady.
