Gladys A. Malski

PEABODY- Gladys A. (Palen) Malski, 81, formerly of Danvers, died peacefully Sunday morning, September 13, 2015, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House. She was the loving wife of Frank J Malski, Jr. with whom she shared 57 years of marriage.
Born on April 27, 1934, she was the daughter of Joseph and Sophie (Wieczerzak) Palen. She was raised and educated in Haverhill, MA. She retired after many years of service from Deerskin Trading Post in Peabody and Danvers.
In addition to her devoted husband, she will be greatly missed by their children, James Malski and his wife Kathryn of Stratford CT; and Linda Murphy and her husband Thomas of Concord NH.
She will forever hold a place in the hearts of her grandchildren, Kelli Pierce and her husband Richard of Concord, NH, Lauren Kelly and her husband Matt of Middletown, CT, Brian Malski of Londonderry, NH, Sean Murphy and his wife, Rita of Londonderry, NH, Tracey Murphy of Webster, NH and Kristen Malski of Stratford, CT.
Gladys adored her grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. She brought much love and happiness into their lives.
She is also survived by five sisters: Elizabeth Tourville of Plaistow, Celia Sudol of Haverhill, Katherine O’Connor of Peabody, Frances Welsch of Haverhill and Patricia Peterson of Florida and one brother Fred Palen of Ipswich.
Gladys will long be remembered for her ability to make one laugh, her love of conversation, her polka dancing talent, her never ending smile and last but not least her unlimited love for her family.
Her Funeral Service will be celebrated at 11AM on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday prior to her service from 9:30-10:45AM. Relatives and friends are invited. Expressions of sympathy may be made in Gladys’ memory to the Kaplan Family Hospice House, 78 Liberty Street, Danvers MA 01923.
