Henry P. “Hank” Beauparlant, 67, of Rockport, died Monday evening, January 5, 2015 at Massachusetts General Hospital. Born in Gloucester, he was the son of the late Wilfred and Sarah (Sheehan) Beauparlant. He was raised and educated in Gloucester and was a graduate of Gloucester High School. Hank had been employed for many years as a painting contractor with the Crowninshield Corp. of Peabody. A resident of Middleton for twenty-five years, he was active in town politics, boy scouts, and coaching youth sports. He volunteered time with HAWC for many years and was recognized for his volunteer efforts. More recently, he became known as a caring and dedicated friend to his neighbors at Millbrook Park in Rockport. He is survived by his children, Marianne Young and her husband James of Rockport, Tara Syverson and her husband Randy of Amherst, NH, Laura Beauparlant of Waltham, Peter Beauparlant and his wife Sandy of Middleton, Joseph Beauparlant and his wife Kate of Mansfield, and Matthew Beauparlant and his wife Lauren of Rockport, his wife, Margery Beauparlant of Rockport, a very dear friend, Evelyn Ouellette of Gloucester, his brother, Robert Beauparlant of Gloucester, his grandchildren, Connor, Rachael, Brian, Rachael, Skyla, Chloe, Trevor, Alec, Finn, Max, Luke, Tess, and Lyla, and several nieces and nephews, including Michael Beauparlant, who was like a son to him. He was predeceased by his brothers, Wilfred “Buster”, James, Theodore, and Joseph Beauparlant. His Funeral Service will be Friday at 10AM in C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are Thursday from 4-8PM in the funeral home. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to the Mass General Cancer Center, 102 Endicott St., Danvers, MA 01923.

  4. It was about 1971, the last game of the year. Cape Ann Flag Football League, freezing, double over time, Burnham’s Field. Hank caught the winning touchdown on his knees in the end zone. Hank’s Bulls. They went on to win several league championships in the 1970s. Miss you so much. Love Ted Beauparlant.
