James P. Deminski, 48, died unexpectedly on Feb. 13, 2011. He was born in Danvers on Feb. 28, 1962, the son of the late John Deminski and Nancy (Crosby) (Deminski) Burke of Danvers. He was raised and educated in Danvers and graduated for Danvers High School in 1981. Jim had worked in carpentry and the electrical trade for much of his working life. As a young man, James was active and gifted in various sports including hockey, football, baseball and soccer. In recent years, the light of his life was his beloved son “Jimmy Jr.”. Besides his son James P. Deminski, Jr., mother Nancy Burke and step-father Donald Burke, he is survived by two brothers, John Deminski of Saugus and Jay Deminski of Danvers, two sisters, Jane Cella of Topsfield and Jill McKeen of Middleton, step-siblings, Scott Burke and Dana Burke both of Middleton and Debra Burke of Beverly, many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held at 11AM on Friday, Feb. 18, 2011 at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. Vst. Hrs will be held prior to the service from 9-10:45AM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in his name to American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St, Framingham, MA, 01701

  1. It’s amazing to me that we shared a high school class, my best friend / his wife, even a house (for a short time) … yet I feel I hardly knew him. I do know I’m so grateful he was here long enough to have Jimmy Junior in his life … I feel sure that all the best of Jim is captured and will live on in his son’s smile.   2. Ronnie and I were so sad to learn that Jimmy had passed away. We were talking about how much fun we used to have playing volleyball with everyone at Endicott park.   5. It is hard to put into words the sorrow I feel. Jim and I shared many years together and I have some wonderful memories. I have spent the last several days revisiting those memories with fondness. I believe that God has welcomed Jim with open arms and has granted him peace. I send my deepest sympathy to the Deminski family. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

  6. So shocked and sad to here of Jimmy’s passing. I have many fond memories of him . I’m sad to say We have not seen him for many years . But was surprised to get a phone call a few years ago to tell us of the birth of his son . He said how awesome and amazing it was to have a new life , a son, brought into the world !! It definatly was a very proud time for him. May he Rest In Peace ….. Love You Jimmy !!!!!

  7. I WAS SO SAD TO HERE A GOOD PERSON LIKE JIM HAS PASSED AWAY. WE SPENT TIME TOGETHER IN MARLBORO. HE WAS A GOOD PERSON. I WILL MISS HIM DEARLY MY HEART GOES OUT TO THE FAMILY ESPECIALY THE LOVE OF HIS LIFE HIS SON JIMMY.
