Paul Andrew Duncan

DANVERS- Paul Andrew Duncan, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2015 at the age of 56, after a brave battle with cancer. Paul was born to the late Arthur and Grace (Connelly) Duncan on November 25, 1958 in Medford. He grew up as the second of three boys and graduated from Danvers High School. Paul served proudly in the U.S. Navy as a quartermaster, and was honorably discharged in 1982. He was an avid streetcar fan and spent time working on streetcar restoration with his family and friends at the Seashore Trolley Museum in Kennebunkport, Maine. Paul enjoyed all things history, particularly the American Revolutionary War. He was a long-time member of the Danvers Alarm List Company and the 22nd Regiment of Foot, participating in re-enactments, parades and living history demonstrations. He is survived by his daughters, Martha Gilbert of Tewksbury and Rebecca Lloyd of Newmarket, England, his brother Lee Duncan of Danvers, his uncle, Jack Duncan of Maryland and several cousins. He was predeceased by his older brother, David. Visiting hours will be held from 2-5PM on Sunday, August 16, 2015 at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Paul’s name to Tin Can Sailors (National Assoc. of Destroyer Veterans), PO Box 100, Somerset, MA, 02726, to help with the upkeep of military ships for museums or the New England Center for Homeless Veterans, Advancement Office, 3rd Fl, 17 Court St., Boston, MA 02108.
