My condolences, go out to my cousins and rest of our family and his friends. Uncle Bobby was a great man, that was always there if you needed him. He always had a smile on his face and it was fun to be around him. I will miss seeing him ride up on his motorcycle to say hello and visit. I will miss him calling me just to say hello. I love you all. I love you, Uncle Bobby! You will be greatly missed by all that knew you!
To the Carbone Family: My sincere sympathy on the passing of Bobby, he was a good friend and will be missed by all of who knew him.
so very sad to hear about Bob He always had a great smile and big hugs when we would run into him with deepest sympathy to Bobs girls and Carol old friends and neighbors Joanna & Bob O’Meara
We met Bob on a cruise to Alaska in 2006. Bob joined us for dinner a couple of times (when he wasn’t watching the Red Sox games!) and then, when the land portion of our tour got rained out, we hung out with a bunch of other tourists in the bar at a lodge right outside of Denali. It was a fun evening making new friends. Over the years, we kept in touch with Bob, meeting him for lunch once up here in Maine and then another time he took us to a seafood place in Gloucester. We also met up with him once at Foxwoods two years ago and we all often talked about doing another Foxwoods “tour”. My mom came along on that trip and Bob was such a gentleman, holding the door for her and pulling out her chair at dinner! Last spring, my husband was going to a machine auction down in Danvers, and Bob volunteered to go check out the location ahead of time so he could give Dave directions, and then he followed Dave along to the auction just because he had never been to a machine shop auction before and thought it would be interesting. Dave thought that was great! We last talked to Bob sometime late summer and the plan was to get together soon to go to Foxwoods, although Bob was determined to see the new casino up in Oxford (Maine), despite us telling him it’s no Foxwoods! We had no idea he had passed away until we didn’t get the annual Christmas card, because Bob was devout about sending a Christmas card every year. We will miss having Bob’s presence in the world. It was quite a shock to us to find out that he is not with us any longer. Peace, Bob. We’ll miss you. – Lisa and David King, Gorham, Maine
