Susan Marie Wrenn
November 15, 1946 ~ October 5, 2023
DANVERS- Susan Marie Wrenn, 76, passed away following a lengthy illness on October 5, 2023 in Kaplan Family Hospice house with her dear friend Vangie Bouras by her side.
Born in Boston on November 15, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Grace (Trainor) Wrenn and stepdaughter of the late Hal Wrenn. She was raised and educated in Salem and graduated from Salem High School in 1965. Susan had been a supervisor in the distribution center of Salem Hospital for 42 years.
Susan was extremely active and played softball and bowled but especially enjoyed golf. She truly enjoyed the competition. She had won the longest drive and placed first in the annual Ladies’ Golf League at Ole Salem Green, earning the famous Green Jacket with all the doodads that go along with it. She also won many tournaments at the former Middleton Golf course, where she had been a member. She enjoyed watching the Red Sox, Patriots and PGA golf tournaments.
Susan was well versed in music and could always tell you the artist and song playing. She would have been a great competitor on “Name that Tune”. Bette Midler was her favorite artist and attended several of her concerts. She also enjoyed Abba.
Susan was a shining light in everyone’s heart that encountered her. She was witty, sassy and wild at times. She was fun loving, and everyone enjoyed her company. Susan will live in the hearts of all those that she has touched, especially her dear friends, Vangie Bouras and Michele Doran.
Her Funeral Service will be held at noon on Sunday, October 15, 2023 in C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. Visitation will be held that morning from 10AM-11:45AM in the funeral home. Burial is private. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in Susan’s name to a charity of one’s choice.

Tuna, chicken and just maybe one scallop at Dube’s for lunch. We tried to fix the world with conversation and plenty of laughs. I will miss being with you at Dube’s. We will raise our glasses and may you forever rest in peace.
Sue played in our golf league, and she was always a fun golf partner. Her stories of her time gambling at the casinos always lifted our spirits – especially when we missed a putt or hit a drive into the woods. She will be missed by all who knew her! Rest in peace Sue.
